Founder & MD
NK Infra
Humbleness is one of the rarest qualities we witness in a successful businessman. During our first discussions with Mr. Nipul Kalita, founder and MD at NK Infra, he requested not to consider his achievements as success. Having his roots from a business family, he learned much from the experiences and observations during his growing up stage. He began his career as a PWD Contractor and now his business ventures include Crushing Plant, Hot Mix Plant, and Concrete Paver Block Manufacturing Plants.
He started sourcing Concrete Pavers Blocks from other Columbia customers. When the requirement increased, as a part of backward integration he purchased his first Columbia Concrete Paver Block plant in 2017 and started producing Concrete Paver Blocks.
Over these years, he has seen the following changes in the construction industry. The earlier production technology was labor oriented resulting in lower output. With the introduction of Columbia Machine, they started producing almost 10 times of output with the same manpower. They can produce around 20000-22000 paver blocks of 40 N/mm2 in a shift. With the addition of a second plant in 2019, his production capacity exceeds 3 million square feet in a year, making him the largest producer in western Assam.
State of Assam boasts the presence of 50+ Columbia plants. With his referrals in business circles, Mr. Kalita has helped Columbia in achieving this milestone. Brand, the superior quality of machines and premium products were the factors worked in Columbia’s favor to bag NK Infra’s prestigious orders. These machines continue to produce superior products with a minimum downtime even after operating for several years.
The quality of machines and products made out of Columbia is superior when compared with that of competitors. Hence, Mr. Kalita gets an upper hand in the market in winning projects. He feels that no competitor can match Columbia in the quality of machines, quality of products made of machines and in service. Due to low raw material cost, and low operations and maintenance cost ROI is quite high. This increases his confidence level as an investor and businessman. In addition to this, he derives immense satisfaction in providing employment opportunities to skilled and semi-skilled youth from his location.
If you have removed your pallet feeder assembly for rebuild, prior to placing it back in the machine take the time to check all fasteners to insure they are locked down or torque to specs. Using several good pallets check carriage assembly to insure it is set up correctly level side to side and front to back, so that the rear dogs catch at least half the pallet thickness and so that the front pusher bars contact the pallet square as it is being pushed out to the table area
