MR. SAYANTAN KUNDU,

Owner – Kundu Infracom Pvt. Ltd.

A native of West Bengal, Mechanical Engineer by professional and a family into the traditional business of trading building material, I decided not to follow suit. I always had dreams of starting up my own business. I knew it’s not going to be easy to break the traditions and step into a new stone hence I started preparing myself in my own way. After graduation went to France, completed post-graduation and returned in 2012 to get hands-on experience in a corporate job. After getting myself acquainted for four years, I set up my own firm Kundu Infracom in Kharagpur, West Bengal. Initially started producing flyash bricks and hand-made pavers. As the business grew, I kept adding lines but soon exhausted its capacity. This led us to venture into value-added products like high-strength pavers, kerbstones etc. The need for a solid Concrete Block Machinery with an automatic handling system soon became the need of the hour for us. We evaluated many options and realized that Columbia would meet our requirements perfectly to produce value-added products with an automatic handling system. Also given the conditions in India and the current pandemic, labor movement and its scarcity became a major issue especially in East India. I traveled all the way to interiors of Orissa to experience the working of an automated Columbia Plant and

was overwhelmed to see Columbia machine running smoothly in the remotest area without breakdown. After seeing it in operation and analyzing its characteristics and capabilities, we were convinced that it would be a very good investment. We zeroed on a Columbia Concrete Block Machine Model SPM26 with Automatic Rack Loader and Unloader System Model UL 26 and Plate Style Cuber Model PSC 200 with turn table, the first of its kind in India. After a successful installation and system startup, we are more than pleased with the Concrete Machine and automatic Handling system which has increased the operational efficiency and safety with minimal staff management and labor problems.

  • Parker Solar Probe launched in 2018 to explore the mysteries of the Sun by traveling closer to it than any spacecraft before. Three years after launch and decades after first conception, Parker has finally arrived.
  • The new milestone marks one major step for Parker Solar Probe and one giant leap for solar science. Just as landing on the Moon allowed scientists to understand how it was formed, touching the very stuff the Sun is made of will help scientists uncover critical information about our closest star and its influence on the solar system.
