Expansion at Makarpura GIDC

Due to the overwhelming support from our customers in the form of new orders, our existing 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility at GIDC Makarpura was reaching its capacity limits. To meet tight dispatch schedules and maintain timely deliveries for our esteemed customers, we expanded our Makarpura operations from 40,000 sq. ft. to 85,000 sq. ft., effectively doubling our production capacity.

This expanded facility became operational in September 2025 and has significantly enhanced our ability to handle increased production volumes with improved efficiency and coordination.

Launch of Our New POR GIDC Facility

The continued economic growth in India and strong global demand for our machinery soon required further expansion. To address this, we acquired an additional 60,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility at POR GIDC, located approximately 12 km from Makarpura. This new unit became operational in November 2025.

The POR factory provides ample space and the right infrastructure to streamline operations and optimize resource utilization. This facility will be dedicated to manufacturing the complete SPM 20 & SPM 30 concrete products plant, including batching plants and handling systems.

Through these strategic expansions, we aim to enhance production capacity, improve delivery timelines, strengthen internal processes, and maintain consistent quality standards. These milestones mark an exciting new phase of growth and reinforce our commitment to delivering performance-driven, reliable, and timely solutions to our valued customers and partners.

Mr. Krishna Kothapalli

Owner of Texas Precast Solutions PVT. LTD.

Why Mr. Krishna Kothapalli Bet on Columbia and Never Looked Back?

From witnessing the rapid construction of high-rise buildings in days rather than weeks in USA, to building a high-output precast business in India, Mr. Kothapalli’s journey is driven by one strong belief: quality wins every time. After studying computer science and spending over a decade in the United States, he became fascinated by how efficiently large construction projects were executed using precast solutions. He recognized that a similar opportunity existed in India and was inspired to bring the same efficiency, consistency, and speed to the country’s growing construction market.

While exploring regions like Amravati, Mr. Kothapalli began researching global machinery manufacturers that could offer high output, consistent quality, and long-term support. His first exposure to Columbia came through the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas around 2018-2019, where he learned about the brand’s strong reputation and diverse product range.

Although discussions began during the lockdown, the purchase was finalized in 2022-23. Mr. Kothapalli recalls the Columbia team as approachable and supportive, especially during the plant visits. He even compares owning Columbia products to owning a Mercedes Benz, reflecting the brand’s credibility in the industry.

TEXAS PRECAST SOLUTIONS started small, initially in 2023 with around 1,500 pallets per day production and gradually scaled up to 5,500-6,000 pallets daily. The company primarily manufactures concrete blocks and pavers, which remain its core focus.

High production. Zero sales team. Texas Precast relies on one powerful strategy: let the product market itself. Every truck delivering premium quality products doubles as a mobile advertisement. Sometimes the best sales strategy is operational excellence. However, he emphasizes that branding works only when backed by consistent product quality, reliable machinery, and disciplined processes such as curing and quality checks.

With affordability as a key principle, the company focuses on volume-driven competitive pricing. Reflecting on his experience so far, Mr. Krishna says he is completely satisfied with Columbia.

Industry Updates & Insights

The block-making machine industry is witnessing strong momentum in 2026, driven by rising infrastructure development, urban housing demand, and increased adoption of automation across manufacturing units. Construction companies and precast manufacturers are increasingly investing in semi-automatic and automatic block-making machines to achieve higher production efficiency, consistent block quality, and reduced dependence on manual labor.

Advancements in hydraulic block-making machine systems, our patented Columbia Vibration Technology (CVT), and modular mold designs are enabling manufacturers to produce a wide range of products such as hollow blocks, solid blocks, pavers, fly ash bricks, kerbstones, and retaining wall blocks. At the same time, sustainability is becoming a key focus area, with growing demand for energy-efficient machines and eco-friendly concrete products.

These developments indicate a positive outlook for the block-making machine sector, as technology-driven solutions continue to reshape productivity, quality, and long-term operational performance.

Lessons from the Shop Floor

Where Quality Truly Begins

Ravi had been working on the production line for years. Every day, the block machine produced thousands of units, and the routine rarely changed. One afternoon, while inspecting freshly made blocks, he noticed a slight edge crack on a few pieces. It was small and easy to overlook, and production targets were tight.

Instead of ignoring it, Ravi paused the line and informed the supervisor. Together with the maintenance team, they checked the mould alignment and vibration settings. A minor adjustment in the parameter reading was identified. It took only 5 minutes to correct it.

When production resumed, the blocks were flawless.

A week later, a major order was dispatched to a new customer. The client later praised the consistent quality and placed a repeat order. No one mentioned the tiny cracks that could have slipped through, but everyone benefited from the decision to fix the issue early.

Ravi did not think he had done anything extraordinary. To him, it was simply part of doing the job right.

In manufacturing, success is often built on small adjustments made at the right time.
